Yogah citta-vritti nirodhora
“Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.”
The second sutra of the eightfold path of yoga is the theme and driving force behind our living yoga retreat. The focus of this weekend will be creating the space to experience how a yogic-centred lifestyle has the ability to achieve what this sutra teaches us. Over the three days, you will be immersed in the yogic way of living, allowing you time to begin embodying the essence of this lifestyle. Giving the opportunity to retreat back to yourself, and find a deeper connection within, all while being surrounded by the beautiful Otway Ranges. You will leave feeling stronger within yourself; mentally, physically and spiritually.
The facilitators Cody and Kaela of Living Yoga – a Yogaharta Retreat have formulated the itinerary as a way to introduce the many practices yoga has to offer. Including a combination of practical workshop classes as well as time to discuss principles and practices that span further than just the postures of yoga. This will offer a glimpse into how you can take responsibility for your own health and happiness and live a more centred and blissful life.

Meet Kaela Raku.
Kaela is a yoga teacher, meditation teacher, singing teacher and human design guide. Yes, really! She does all those things. Kaela creates spaces where you can feel safe and held as you explore your true self and find the confidence to share that self with the world.
She found yoga and meditation at a time in her life when she needed to find ways to pause and still her mind and body. These tools began the journey of self exploration, and ever since she has been passionate about sharing these practices with others.
Kaela’s classes are the perfect combination of the many modalities she teaches. Combining yoga, sound and meditation she supports each unique human being to connect with the deeper layers of themselves, she is committed to supporting you on your journey.
Meet Cody Felmingham
Cody was first introduced to yoga through meditation at the age of 16, and started a practice of hatha yoga shortly after, learning more about asana, pranayama and meditation. He became very curious as to how this practice was able to impact his day-to-day life so dramatically and wanted to know more about the space of stillness experienced throughout his practice. At the age of 22 he was introduced to Maha yoga, the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharishi where his journey into the philosophy and spiritual teachings of yoga truly began. Cody completed his yogic studies in India and has been teaching yoga for over 7 years since returning home. With a passion for cultivating awareness, the practice of yoga is much more than a movement practice for Cody, yoga is a lifestyle science that provides many tools to allow you to enjoy life to the fullest.
Through teaching weekly classes came the inspiration to hold space for people over a longer period of time. To give people the opportunity to focus solely on themselves and connect with what it means to be a human and build a better relationship with their bodies, minds and spirit. Allowing people the opportunity to implement many of the principles that yoga has to offer to improve people’s quality of life.
