Laura Grace May
Laura was first introduced to Yoga as a toddler, watching on as her mother - in very 80s, terry towelling shorts - would join a class that was broadcast on TV. While her mother’s Yoga enthusiasm eventually dwindled Laura’s did not, and today she feels incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to share the incredible gifts of Yoga teachings with others. Leaving the corporate world behind her, Laura travelled to Rishikesh, India to complete her 200hr training at Sattva Yoga in early 2019. Before the end of that year, Laura returned again to India while 20 weeks pregnant with her first child, to learn the beautiful teachings of guiding Prenatal Yoga with Siddhi Ellinghoven.
Laura has felt first-hand how techniques and wisdom of Yoga can enhance the experience of life, and in particular during the sacred time of pregnancy and transition to motherhood. She loves the ongoing learning and evolution that Yoga offers. Laura is especially passionate about supporting women throughout their journey into motherhood. Her holistic classes incorporate movement, breathwork and meditation for a beautiful balance of strengthening, expansion and relaxation.
